If it’s not the friend link of the author, but a friend link from another Friend-of-Medium account linking to the same post that the reader is viewing, that’s a tos violation.

Not a violation rn. From looking into it, it seems like most writers that do this want to reach a larger audience and are willing to sacrifice some earnings by posting their own friend link. There’s probably a better way for us to solve that though.

Yep! You make templates in a specific directory and then choose which template a post uses via that posts frontmatter (post is still .md), or set a default template for all posts.

😞 what’s the post this was on? We’re working on this problem rn, that user SHOULD be suspended already (or very soon) by our system. We’re bringing that suspension time down from hours ➡️ seconds in the nearish future (and ideally preventing this in the first place) but all input data is helpful

"Responses are not free-for-all comments" https://medium.com/p/6c9a4927c03

Yes. AND the landscape has evolved since Responses were released. They're usually used as comments. Unsure if this evolugion is "good" or "bad" or just something to acknowledge and move forward with.
Responses are not free-for-all comments
There’s an important distinction between responses and regular web comments — besides that they can be whole posts — that we probably…
