That bold dividing line is where the people end in Texas and there's just miles and miles of noooooothing.

So it's a good delineation. Texas sits in the "South Central" region of the US (it's just OK and TX) so it has a mix of western and southern culture.

Texas feels right too. They even got that part of the gulf coast of South East Texas that is actually Louisiana.

Beaumont is only hanging on to Texas because they have an HEB.
