So the House of Lords functions as the UK’s version of the Senate, and really is entirely unelected. 92 people in there are hereditary peers: they’re literally there because they’re aristocrats.

And *still* the Lords would never dare look as partisan as the US Supreme Court did today. Seriously.
Yep, the Supreme Court really is just a House of Lords—a purely political branch with bizarre veto power, wielded capriciously and without accountability. Time for massive reform.

We're doing orientation at the local kinder, and it's so adorable, wholesome, and lovely that I don't want to leave 🥰

Man, this guy makes me miss the boroughs 🗽
Soon small businesses won’t have to wait for Small Business Saturday to get attention from their Mayor.

Some changes that they can look forward to:

It's already Friday afternoon here but happy thanksgiving to my fellow Americans back home and overseas. I'm grateful for my family, friends, universal health care, trams, and libraries.

Watch this and feel something good instead of doom scrolling for a minute 🥰🥺
I have thought about this commercial all week, and how much the persistent efforts by the adult character would mean to me as a kid. I also cried the first time I watched it.
Going to end on one of the most beautiful commercials ever made with the reminder and a call to remember the small things. They make a big difference to others.

Love all, help all.

Go Jackets.

Anyone here who can recommend puzzles or toys for a very intelligent puppy with absolutely no manners? She loves peanut butter. Photo for reference. 13 weeks old, Australian Shepherd. We are stuck at home but have a backyard.

To be clear Lizza’s story is that Nuzzi sat on important matters of national significance for personal benefit and he’s sat on these details until he could personally benefit.

All of DC media needs to be thrown into the sea. Anyone who defends these people is a goddamn clown.

This is a completely avoidable and tragic death in the USA in 2025 😩 Mothers generally want to do anything to protect their babies, I know I did. These people are being lied to and manipulated.
A third infant has died in Kentucky, KYDPH adds:

“These are Kentucky’s first pertussis deaths since 2018. None of the infants nor their mothers received the recommended pertussis vaccinations during pregnancy or early infancy.”

We've all got COVID, and I'm now symptomatic. The puppy is a maniac and does not enjoy being housebound. I have an assignment due tomorrow, it's a video pitch 😫😂 Not sure I'll be completing that one today... at least the little one is on the mend.

1st incident lasted 25s during the 9PM news on WGN-TV in Chicago; The 2nd, 2hrs later, lasted ~90s on PBS affiliate WTTW during Dr. Who.

I've been offline due to family illness but I'm not sure I want to read the news anymore. And I used to, uh...
I can’t quite put it into words, but Trump praising Mamdani on the same day that MTG resigns in opposition to “big Tech, big Pharma, the war complex and big donors” feels like a harbinger of realignment.

There is a political earthquake trembling beneath the surface waiting to break through.
