Toddler parents who are #writers, how do you do it? As writers, we are supposed to read a lot, learn about the craft, write every day, exchange feedback with other writers, maintain social media. As parents we are supposed to do...everything. HOW?! #Writingcommunity #SAHM #Writesky #amrevising

Hey #writers! How do you keep motivated when working on revisions? I can keep my my momentum when I'm able to write every day but I have a hard time getting back on track again without a focused work day. What works for you? How do you keep forward momentum on your work? #writesky #writingcommunity

Fireflys are back and I'm so thrilled about it ❤️ they make my backyard look like something straight out of a fairy tale!

Yesterday I thought my first chapter was finally done. Today, I spent three hours fixing it...again. I think I will be #revising forever.

How do you all know when to stop??? Does it ever feel finished?

Does anyone remember the game where you start with a #writingprompt and then everyone adds a few sentences to the story? I always loved it and I'd love to see where the #writingcommunity can take this opening!

RULES: Keep it kind. No politics!

There's a cute little humming bird that keeps visiting me when I sneak outside to #write. Today it got right up in my face so we could check each other out.

And now have to go buy them some flowers. Does anyone have any suggestions for potted plants they like?

I was intimidated to read #TOG for a long time because tandem reading and disputed reading orders felt scary.

I'm so glad I got over it.

I have a question for all you #writers out there. What kind of space do you write in? Are you someone who can write anywhere? Do you hide away in a coffee shop or like to sit outside? Does your location influence your creativity or your mindset? I need to know!

Today I learned that if I have a handful of nuts, some fruit and and a big glass of water for breakfast instead of coffee....I have more energy.

Weird.

Too many books? I think what you mean is not enough bookshelves.

I've heard of authors getting accused of using AI if they publish multiple works too quickly.

Trad publishing is the dream, but if I end up with a backlog of novels, I might #selfpublish someday and I would probably do a release every 3ish months. I've got two novels so far.

Just for the record.

Last July, my shins broke. We still dont know what's wrong. I had to quit teaching yoga.

As the raw edges of my new life started to heal, I began to realize that my pain is more than an obstacle. Its an opportunity to sit down and #write.

Turns out that trying to fight book bans with retail activism is as effective as trying to treat depression with retail therapy.

Your periodic reminder that, 150 years ago, a desire to read fiction was considered both a sign of mental illness in women and a symptom of it.

The groups devoted to banning some books because they're "immoral", "obscene", etc. are just growths from the same bad root.
