somewhat extends to subject matter too tbh. I was thinking about it last month when I drew a flight rising dragon for the first time in years like. damn. I spent the past few years drawing mostly IIDX fanart & reploids & then out of left field drew a sparkly dragon

granted not all of these stuck around long term/stayed an experiment but I think trying so many things is probably my biggest pride point. I've learned a lot & have more respect for each thing I've tried as a result.

Monster hunter phase - learned how to do / simplify detail
Comics phase - learned bgs, compositions, visual narrative, self publishing
Megaman phase - learned how to handle light mecha
IIDX phase - learned how to draw men

the painful part is knowing that LPS Siren would require 2 of the hardest paint colors to work with if I want to make him real 🥀

in hindsight, I think his main design would've worked better with this color scheme 😅

btw the irony of telling people to save my work with the recent twitter exodus is not lost on me. But yeah I am seriously considering leaving the internet & pulling the plug on my art accounts. So for those who still somehow care about my work, well, better saved than sorry
