I am an activist and advocate for victims of domestic abuse.
Speaking out on Injustices within social care and the family court.
I am also passionate about neurodiversity and speak on the issues many face in these areas.
When the victim begins challenging, gaining strength and building other connections.

An abuser begins losing control of them.

They work hard to try and break these connections.
Work harder to degrade their victim.

Abuse doesn't stop when a victim leaves.
Abusers often intensify their harmful behavior when their partner starts gaining strength, independence, and social connections. 🚩

An abuser will use every last resource you have and still try and take more.

Manipulation and isolation of their victim is their aim.

Framing their victim as #dysregulated #emotional #mentallyill.

Would you be taken in?

Many professionals are.

"Why don't you get some tips from your sister, she is much more stylish," "Tom's wife would never go out with friends without him there." These are manipulative statements designed to make you feel 'not good enough' and more compliant to your partner's demands. #coercivecontrol

On #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek, one of the positives i would like to raise is our #honesty and sense of #justice.

We can be blunt, but you always know where you stand with us.

On #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek, changes are a struggle, appointments, travel, environments, and connections.

This can cause us to #burnout or #shutdown or #meltdown.
None are easy to cope with and impact #processing, #eating, #dailyliving, crippling anxiety, not sleeping.

We do adapt.

Whatever is announced today, your benefits won’t change overnight:

📌 Equality Duty: Govt must assess impact first.
📌 Legitimate Expectation: Courts have ruled sudden cuts unlawful.
📌 Human Rights Act: Cuts must pass a proportionality test.

Changes will be challenged and softened.

I have communicated with people today who feel suicidal and pushed to self-harm or addiction relapse due to this bloody #DWP announcement. I’ve also spoke to people convinced they are the problem and that they should immediately come off benefits. Please do none of the above 1/2

On #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek I believe that each of us has our own strengths.

It's the importance of learning about the person.

It takes the right professional to bring out the best in us.

While many of us struggle with different aspects, we have skills that many don't.
