Just watched the Ben Stokes run out and aside from how annoying it was etc, my main takeaway is I always marvel at a run out when they have just one stump to aim for. It looks like the hardest thing in Cricket.

England getting a lot of criticism after the first Ashes test, a lot of it fair, but the amount of it would lead you to think they have lost by an innings and let Australia score 600. Australia were out for 133 in the first innings and the match was decided by Travis Head going bonkers.

@levparikian.bsky.social Hey Lev, any idea what this bird of prey could be? It’s the larger of the 3, being mobbed by some crows. Quite a bit larger, would glide and the flap one or twice and then glide again. Saw it near Mitcham Common today.
