Concorde fact of the day:
Concorde’s cockpit had over 1000 buttons, switches, dials, and knobs.
By comparison the a320 has about 575.
Despite this, Concorde’s cockpit felt relatively familiar to new pilots with instead technical procedures such as fuel transfer being the most complicated element.

In june 1930, Henri Guillaumet, pilot on the Buenos Aires-Santiago mail service, crashed his Potez 25 in the Andes Mountains, waiting 2 days for rescue before finally leaving on foot. He walked for 3 days and 3 nights before collapsing in front of a shepherdess who came to his aid.
