Honestly, I looked at the image and thought it looked like her, so I searched online and found that François Mitterand made her an officer in France’s Legion of Honor. Maybe I’m mistaken about that being her?

I was only up to ten when I saw this list. I think 1 is George Sand, 3 is La Goulue, aka Louise Weber, and 16 is Liza Minnelli. Agree? I was thinking 2 might be Mata Hari, but perhaps it is Sarah Bernhardt!
