He/Him

I’ll never forget what he said to me “Anyways, that’s a 7 from the Bavarian Judge. Fetch me a weenie, Press-Boy.” I did, he ate it through his nose.
“Some men just want to watch the world burn.”

Me.

Not many in Happy Valley general area. It’s tried very hard to be the “upscale” area of Clackamas County.

Hard Boiled will always be my favorite John Woo film, but that is a very close second.

Not to mention that Roddenberry himself said that humanity itself had grown enlightened enough to stop body shaming people. Not in those exact terms, but same sentiment.

Bonus points if someone cites your own book towards you.

It’s Boldly going forward, cause we can’t find reverse.

Look, I’ve already apologized for finding that monkey’s paw and wishing life was more cyberpunk. I was picturing more mirror shades and holograms, less corporate sovereignty and ecological collapse. 🫠

Early 90s for me. My introduction to the genre came from TTRPGs like Cyberpunk and Shadowrun, and I worked backwards from there to learn the influences.

Burning Chrome, a short story by William Gibson. One of the early entries in what would become the cyberpunk genre.

Maybe we can give them wearable LED reader boards that will display things like “We Care” and “You might feel a slight pressure” as they beat, shoot, and kill us.

Just goes to show, apartheid believing weirdos come in all shapes and sizes.

They also came into prominence with school integration. Before that they were mostly the realm of the very wealthy.

I dunno. Calling them Gestapo is a bit misnomer. They’re the Einsatzgruppen.

It ignores the fact that America is a violent country and we always have been. This isn’t a thing I’m proud of, simply something I acknowledge.

As a society we’ve made the gun entirely too important to our national myths.

It’s feels like conspiratorial thinking, but these so called centrists hope to wield the power themselves if they get back in.

They’re completely oblivious that these agencies are full of people who hate them. Since its formation ICE has viewed itself as some presidents personal army.

J Jonah Jameson, is that you? 😉
January 5, 2026 at 9:04 PM
True, but you’re making sound like something less than awesome. Spelljammer and Planescape are Weird D&D at its best.
January 5, 2026 at 9:01 PM
This is Spelljammer slander, and I will not stand for it!

The Secret World of Arietty. I loved The Borrowers book as a kid, and the cartoon based on it, The Littles. Studio Ghibli’s take on it was something very dear to me.

The first RPG, in 7th grade, was Star Frontiers, TSR’s sci-fi game. I was a Jehovah’s Witness so wasn’t allowed to play D&D. The first game I owned and ran was Palladium Games Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness.
