It's funny how easy it is to believe an idea is obvious. When i read the title, my thought was, "um duh," but that is silly on my part. Dogma is a helluva temptation.

Spinoza uses the triangle’s angle-sum to show that necessary truths reflect the eternal, objective structure of reality, while William James uses the same example to argue that such “necessity” is merely a psychological habit produced by the way our minds are trained to think.
