I'd be curious whether a fit of the data to a "binary flip" landscape worked and a comparison to the mechanistic LDE model. Does BMP control the lower saddle (between cardiac & neural) & hence which attractor the unstable manifold connects; with BRM determining the initial "tilt" of the landscape?
