The story they're telling about that encounter is outrageous. They make it sound like he drew a gun on the ICE agents and started a shootout.

There's a saying that if you love your job you won't work a day in your life, but the flip side is you're always working.

I once had Guinness ice cream. It was surprisingly...not bad. Add a bit of raspberry and it would have tasted like fresh bread with raspberry jam.

One lesson that must not be missed is that when one nation controls most of the world's deployable military power, a crisis is inevitable. You can't create a stable economic system without the ability to protect it.

Overruled because they thought unity and working together is subversive? Why does school admin so often attract people like that?

Yes, I prefer my ice and snow in pics and vids, like this one 😁

I couldn't buy it. Then it showed up in my library. I forgot I pre-ordered it 😂

One thing I notice is a change in how Evelyn is pronounced. In America we would pronounce it Eh-vul-lin but the reader with an Aussie accent pronounces it Evil-lin, like the female villain in the He-man cartoons. Foreshadowing?

Thank you, and a lovely holiday season to you and yours.

The scene where someone calls your MC by her first name as a power play reminded me of how often I see politicians called by their first name for women, last name or title for men. Even their supporters do this unconsciously. A man's first name is rarely used except when belittling him

That doesn't take money from the government so they can't be threatened with loss of funding.

Should be strict control on what share of the media a corporation or the individual can control.

You look at these people and think, who would marry someone like that?? And time and again, there's your answer.

Since there's no audiobook for book 3, Rogues Lie, I've been using the assistive reader, BUT I did choose the English speaking voice with the Aussie accent 😀

One thing both pro & anti gun law advocates miss is that Australian gun culture prior to 1996 was VERY different from the US. Enough so neither is a viable model for the other. They did not suddenly transform fun US style gun ownership to what they have today, and US issues don't apply there either

Not an advocate for conscription, but this article offers stark conclusions in areas where much depends on implementation. Are they barely trained bodies thrown at the enemy Russia style or part time reservists gaining training over time? Is any of their training useful/applicable in civilian jobs?

It's ironic this has become a motivational saying, given that that whole point was to show it was impossible in terms any idiot could understand. But the idiots are always too clever to grasp the obvious.

Whatdayamean most corrupt??? It's probably not even in the top 10! To start with, taking billions in bribes to remove/reduce tariffs easily beats that.

So do you think all the wins the Democrats are having will get more people to go to the polls on election day because they're excited about winning or fewer because they think their vote isn't necessary?
December 10, 2025 at 4:23 AM
Ok, Democrats, release the hounds!

They built some great innovations into the Mars robots, partly from what the lunar Rover taught them. And now from lessons from the Mars robots they've advanced their vehicle technology even further. The next generation will be a modal change from what we've seen so far.

She very much shared your concerns and thoughts on this. In some phrasing almost word for word.

Most people who can afford to do exactly that. The CEO of Exxon has long since passed the point where his pay will make ANY difference in his life. Yet he still works. People wanting to contribute to their tribe is a basic part of our survival instincts.
