Listening to Logitech talk about AI in their products is pure cringe. What exactly does it do? This from the CEO who said she sees no value in infamous AI gadgets like the Humane Pin. But Logitech AI gadgets that don’t need it 👍 Not solutions looking for problems at all.

Caleb Williams is definitely entertaining as a non bears fan. The very popular run directly opposite the direction you should be going and get a touchdown. Just how they drew that play up.

Netflix is really really bad at live TV. Everything is so noticeable from production to stream quality to the inability to go to current live. Plus bad AI ads.

AI has changed my behavior in an odd way. If I am on chat or phone support the first thing I type or say is asking if there is a seahorse emoji. And Bladerunner required a complex interview to find a replicant. I feel a bit cheated.

Watched Sneaker Wars: Adidas VS Puma. The history of the bros and the feud is done well. The problem is there’s a giant hanging over it that is passingly mentioned: Nike. Modern era perhaps needed finer focus to not feel like something big was left out.

Robinhood screwed up the Netflix stock split. The P/E ratio is showing as 4.65. It should be 46.5. A 10 for 1 split doesn’t mean you divide everything by 10. If it was 4.65 the stock would be massively undervalued. Simple code and something that should never happen.

I can’t imagine what Tesla’s internal numbers must be if they are now implementing Apple CarPlay. Hey Rivian you’re already behind. And GM thinks it can do better. lol.

Maybe listen to your customers. I’m no genius CEO though.

I know we aren’t in the 4th quarter yet but the Broncos look terrible. Not sure playing 15 minutes per NFL game is going to work in the playoffs.

I’m trying to find the level in code where AI can successfully match an existing pattern and apply it to a new same exact pattern problem. The pre-training seems to be way more important than even exact context and prompt patterns. Annoying for coding.

Wonder what the sports talking heads will say now about how Jalen Hurts is a bad QB. I know he didn’t throw the ball 40 times. He’s just too efficient.

AI can’t code. Even the guy that gave us the cringe term vibe coding knows it.

It’s fine that Softbank is trying to secure $5 billion more in debt on its Arm holdings to secure money to invest into OpenAI right? Right? This isn’t super caffeinated quad whipped extra froth bubble behavior. I mean it’s not like every company is. just investing in each other. Oh …

I know things are crazy or maybe I am. Most likely both but why is NYCC 2023 trending? It is 2025 right? Or am I an LLM that doesn’t know the date?

This Oracle nonsense is starting to make me feel like AI is just a massively more expensive Juicero.

Shout out to Chewy. I just had an incredible customer service experience. No AI, no long menu. Just got to talk a very kind person. It was so unexpected and so pleasant I am floored. This is how it should be. I was a customer before but will definitely order more from them now.

I’ve been digging deep into AI. I have no idea how anyone agreed to essentially blow a few hundred mil and months of time running 1000s of GPUs for a potential result. I don’t think the tech will ever generate actual intelligence but it is still impressive.
