I liken it to gambling. Every prompt is a roll of the dice. The house always wins but every so often you get a hit good enough to keep you coming back. If you just prompt this way or add this MCP or use these agents you will flip the odds in your favor. The house always wins anyway.

Well I didn’t have the Bills imploding so quickly in my NFL outlook. Imagine owning the Patriots and getting to go to sleep every night knowing every owner in your division is an absolute joke. Where can I bet on the Pats winning the division for the next decade?

My guess is then the owners have to admit some fault on their own process. If I owned a team I’d model it after the Eagles. Get a great aggressive GM and you’re golden.

I graduated with a CS degree into it. Couldn’t get a job in the industry because there were people with 20 years experience willing to take the most junior roles. It was years before I got a job writing software. The fiber bubble lasted longer. I got a PM job at a telecom company that was in fiber.

The best thing you can do to improve a team’s performance is to rid the team of people who can’t or won’t work well with others. I’ve seen it firsthand an incredibly talented individual destroy the results of a team. Not just tech but across the board.

As an Eagles fan I appreciate the championship, but Sirianni has to be fired for this season. Everyone saw how bad the offense has been all season.
January 12, 2026 at 1:05 AM
Sirianni has to go. If he is an offensive coach he needed to get rid of Patullo at least 5 weeks ago. If you can’t scheme AJ Brown into an offense you shouldn’t be near a football field. Can’t score off turnovers and can’t score on a depleted defense.

Kevin Patullo should be fired right now. Wholly unacceptable performance.

I think she is underestimating this by an order magnitude. It needs 1 trillion Yoloflops.

I honestly don’t think driverless cars scale unless we are talking about tech in consumer vehicles which just isn’t going to work economically. A fleet of driverless cars doesn’t scale. See Santa Monica and Waymo. I wonder how many riderless miles are driven for cleaning and charging.

Nope not dim. Tangible ROI can mean nearly anything. It could mean marketing produced 20% more ads in a given time period. The investment did something. Doesn’t mean profitable to execute. The ads may perform 90% worse and lose more money. See McDonald’s.

That’s the world view of Silicon Valley. Tech is their god and the answer to every question. If they need to paint, the thought isn’t go get a brush and paint. It’s build a robot or short of that a platform to get someone else to do it that they never have to communicate with.

At least it will make the AI companies more profitable since they won’t lose oodles of cash operating the GPUs.
December 7, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Hope this conclusion is true. Silicon Valley hasn’t innovated in decades. They’re no longer raging against the machine, they are the machine. A regulatory environment enables ever bigger sameness with no threat of real competition. The internet empowered people. AI and social subjugate them.

Clearly there is room for another tub in the mudroom/laundry. 2 is never enough for a space like that.

I was promised flying cars and robots that do chores so I can use leisure time for art and other creative endeavors. We got bad “self” driving cars and robots trying to do all the creative stuff making us do the chores. Noping right out of this.

Not surprising. Thing pre-trained 12 months ago with a strong bias to pre-training data and is a probabilistic system isn’t reliable. Reasoning isn’t really a thing and web search has all kinds of issues.

CSS has plenty of features now that you can roll without frameworks. But if you’re maintaining something you’re probably stuck with bootstrap or tailwind. Don’t start me on AI generated stuff.

As an Eagles #3 is out of the question. Those boos are hard earned. Hear them and enjoy them.
