Yeah, sorry, I am often too quick to use humour/irony/sarcasm to make serious points. Agreed, there is more to the picture than just increasing renewables, but they are a very important part nonetheless.

Indeed, but even if that were not the case, the other benefits in investing in renewables would also make it worthwhile. It's a win-win, hence my post

But what if climate change is a myth and we reduce costs, increase energy independence, create jobs and reduce pollution all for nothing?
November 24, 2025 at 8:31 AM
Not even lost dollars (or Euros, Pounds etc) as renewables are cheaper

Thanks - I have made Kimchi (but not for a while). I make sauerkraut fairly regularly. I've also done plums, blueberries and cucumbers, all which work pretty well. I've done garlic, but whole cloves peeled and mixed with honey - it's pretty good but takes many weeks for them to lose their fierceness

This 'peace deal' would not only be terrible for Ukraine it would also be terrible for the rest of Europe. Only an idiot wouldn't realise that Putin would use the cease fire to rebuild his military & then attack again. I hope European leaders realise that he can't be allowed to do this

The job: keep Israel in a permanent state of war, to hold together Netanyahu's coalition & thus keep him out of jail

I very much doubt that the Russians will have stopped at just bribing Gill. I wonder how many people out there have been made very nervous by this verdict

It seems familiar

If nothing changes Labour will get slaughtered in the May local elections. Labour MPs have to decide whether to stick with Starmer & hope that things will improve (unlikely), or find a new leader prepared to do things differently. Either way I can't see Keir Starmer remaining PM much beyond May

"There's an element in our party who doesn't seem to read the room in this".
Yes, Clive and that element is in charge of the Party.
So the question is, what are you going to do about it?
