I was once voted the handsomest boy in Albany, New York.
Been making a real effort this year to cut down my mindless internet usage. I'm trying to use the internet like it's 2007; only using social media on my laptop; and replacing Spotify with only music I can source the MP3 for.

Can’t wait for it to warm up a bit so I can start sorting the garden out again. The cats have made desire lines in the front lawn.

A lot of things about Facebook confuse me, like how our village of 6000 people had 12000 members on it's community page.

Went swimming this morning for the first time in about 15 years. Nearly drowned twice and hyperventilated from exhaustion in the changing room afterwards. Going again next week.

Current YouTube obsession is people taking long bus journeys across the US and Canada. Once I moved past my own National Express based PTSD, they're a lot of fun. 'Miles In Transit' and 'AdamDoesNotExist' are my guys.

It’s one of those mornings at work where the smiley faces drop from the end of my Teams messages.

Marking the day I learned that Max Factor is named after the founder. It is not short for Maximum Factor.

Nice bit of “good process” to start the season there #LIVBOU

Fantastic Four was good but maybe not quite worth the £8.99 I paid to the Marvel Unlimited app in preparation. #filmsky

Not sure we quite hit all the cultural sites during this trip to Oxford but I have it on good authority that I just visited Thom Yorke’s local chemist.

There’s a car that parks a few streets down from us with a huge “MILF Hunter” sticker across the bonnet.

They’re not there at the moment though so I guess the hunt is on.

The odd tone of watching a documentary about a brutal unsolved murder in my home town and doing a little cheer every time they show a location I recognise.

One of my grumpy old man opinions is that there’s too many flags at Glastonbury.

Happy ‘Poop Cruise’ Day to those who celebrate.

Been enjoying my first few games of Rematch on the Xbox. Really reminds me of playing football when I was younger, in that my goalkeeping howlers are costing my team repeatedly.

Theres a girl in this harbor town
And she works laying whiskey down
They say “Brandy, fetch another round”
She serves them whisky and wine

The sailors say “Brandy…”
Me (interrupting): it’s whisky and wine you idiots.

Actual sick day today so I’m drugged up on Lemsip and watching Rach play Crypt Custodian.

Going to work with a cold today so I’m watching Taking of Pelham 123 (1974) in the background.

Putting a spoonful of milk from my breakfast cereal into my coffee like when they make sauce using the pasta water.

Out of tune air horn in the crowd at the #ANDENG game. Sounds like the film score when Tom Cruise is saving the world at the last second.

I would take my Criterion Closet picks straight to CeX. There’s got to be like £32 on a voucher there.

New Nintendo Day.

Current YouTube obsession is the video diaries of a couple moving out of London to live on a canal boat. Super well put together videos - Kris Atomic is the channel. Would be a dream life for me if not for my crippling anxiety around water, tight spaces and driving.
