Shot some black & white #Polaroid I-type film on a rare trip to the Mutianyu Great Wall the other day. The film had been slightly exposed after passing through a security archway the previous day, and it resulted in some really atmospheric shots. #analoguephotogrpahy

A picture taken inside one of the ancient guard towers along the Mutianyu Great Wall shows the contrast between the darkness and the light of the arched exit. The film shows interesting artefacts cause by slight x-Ray exposure. Picture is black and white. The steep slope of the Great Wall is juxtaposed against the rugged mountains at Mutianyu. The picture is black and white. An atmospheric shot of the Mutianyu Great Wall snaking up the mountains. The black and white picture is given further texture due to artefacts caused by an earlier exposure to mild x-Rays.

I’m really pleased with the result here… given the low light, I opened the taps using “light painting” mode on the phone app, with the exposure switch on the camera set to high. Really having fun with the OneStep+

So, now that I have my new toy up and running, my Polaroid project has begun. I’ve been fascinated by the “light painting” mode, ripping through the best part of two packs of film playing with it... #polaroid #analoguephotography

The love heart scribbled in light on the Polaroid is much better, and the arrow is better positioned, sadly the arrowhead is not as defined as before and looks like a sausage on the end of a skewer…

Japanese rock ‘n’ roller Johnny Pandora and his band put on quite a show in Beijing at the weekend!

Just got back from watch Yard Act at a small live venue in downtown Beijing, and it has to be hands down the best show I’ve seen this year. Absolutely smashed it. Highly recommend seeing them if they visit a stage near you… #YardAct #WeMakeHits
