Seen a couple of properties I really like in Devon. Have a couple of meetings this week about going down the prefab route. Don't know anything about getting land to do it on but I now have time on my hands to do it. I reckon planning permission is going to be the issue. Much to consider.

So that's it. I'm finally done, for the second time, with this bunch of absolute fucking clowns. All numbers now blocked in my phone too. Had to sign some kind of non-disclosure agreement, which is also fine, presumably so I don't tell the world how shit they are. Bit late for that...

I doubt Paul could get away with telling potential buyers that the area's full of narrow-minded bigots & he looked uncomfortable when I told him, but given the amount of St. George flags on show round here, that should be a clue & would likely deter good folks paying attention to politics right now.

... "I hope you'll be selling to someone who will fit in among us" is Reform voter speak for "White people, please". I told Paul that I'm surrounded by narrow-minded bigots and that's why I want to leave, so if he finds a very wealthy Reform-type who wants to pay way above the asking price, SELL!

I did ask if the asking price was too low but Paul thinks not. As he's getting a %, I don't see why he'd not go for the best price possible.
Had a visit from the local Neighbourhood Watch yesterday. Haven't seen them in years. They wanted to know who might be moving in...

Good news is there's nobody else to blame - it happened on his watch and it's an automatic final warning. He's 'good friends' with the new Director of HR, Stacey. They're both married but it doesn't take a genius to work out why they have 3 hour-long 'meetings' every week...

The shift 'Manager' was (redacted) and it's not an office job. Not a single pallet should be lifted onto a truck until he's checked the counts. It's a 10 hour shift, 4 of which are spent loading. Only needs to be there once the bays have been checked, maybe 30 minutes of his shift. Lazy arsehole.

However, seriously looking into a pitch of land and buying a pre-fab house/static home. Much cheaper than a house, would be brand new, all mod-cons and way cheaper than a house. It's only for me and just has to last until I die. Have made enquiries. It's all happening!

Having spent a little time in East Devon now, property can actually be very expensive but Exmouth and Exeter are looking very likely right now, Exmouth definitely just ahead. With a little luck I could buy a new place outright and still have £150k left over from the sale.

Already had a few neighbours ask me if I'm really selling up... why else would there be a "For Sale" sign? Should get the locals chattering among themselves about whether or not the buyers are "the right sort" of people. The silent bigot alarms will be going off any time now.

...finished by this afternoon. Booked a couple of cleaners too so the place will look clean and tidy. Agent reckons he can get £15k above value for a quick sale if the demand is what he reckons it will be. "No reason to take the first offer unless it's big" he says. "For Sale" sign is up already.
