If xAI and Musk had reacted to these events swiftly and with the seriousness they demanded then no one would be suggesting bans.

But Musk repeatedly treated it as a joke, and no one can have confidence that xAI will make any effort to minimise these harms.

Genuinely, yes: had a great rep for campaigning, was known as ambitious, particularly on localism but also foreign affairs. If she was so uninterested in this job I’d have thought she’d have a good chance of chairing the select committee. But instead she’s taken a gig and just done *nothing*.

I think if she cared *remotely* about her job she'd have got motivated by something more than a few bits of bad press ages ago. Truly impressive levels of checked out, for a given value of "impressive".
