My wife picked up this lovely children's book a while ago - and our boys love it.

Today it inspired our first mushroom hunt of the end of summer / autumn - around Stanmore Common

And that’s a wrap on the 194th British Science Festival! 🎉
For four days, Liverpool was alive with inspiring talks, hands-on experiences, and city-wide celebrations of science!

We were proud to help shape this year’s programme, with research from across all three Faculties showcased. 🙌

I was privileged to support the Branch Line Society 'Piccadilly Explorer' tour yesterday, which raised £1,000 for Northwick Park Hospital League of Friends. First stop: South Harrow for the gasworks viaduct stub and signal relay room, plus the original 1903 station building 🧵1/7

One more year: Ice loss at Konkordiaplatz on Aletsch #Glacier is just... wow 😲 Minus 4.6 metres of ice.
Will there ever be a call:
"Make Aletsch Great Again"?
It would be about time

162/422 Harrow & Wealdstone Lioness/Bakerloo Line. The tube strikes this week have really impacted commuters in London, but few more than me and I’m trying desperately to smash out a load now. Barrett’s in Harrow looks horrible and it is. I can’t face another cider…half Guinness = £2.60 Rating 1/5

My 4th 'Bugs Day' at Imperial's Silwood campus. The boys (and I) had a wonderful time at an event that just gets better each year.

For Imperial team's interesting in public engagement with the natural world or environmental research, Bugs day is a wonderful resource to reach public audiences.
