Given all the other turkeys he’s pardoned…

What language was it in before? And why Go? Not questioning your choices. I just see an opportunity for me to learn something. 😀

First thought on this picture: this guy should be playing the heavy. Or the grizzled detective. Mark Hamill, not the dog.

They seem like they’d be like cats with thumbs. Were they?

Wasn’t me, but it might be good in a burrito…

Of course. The butter battles proved this is THE WAY. 😀
November 8, 2025 at 6:47 PM
Yes. That’s the science part.

Yeah. Carp left out the whole Roland LeBay angle and the story was cleaner for it.

I’m assuming Maximum Overdrive is to bad to be on any list with positive adjectives?

Also Firestarter?

Well said. Arf.

Do what you gotta do. Be how you gotta be. Anyone who’s followed you for more than two weeks understands. Feel better soon.

Also, you can turn off their ai crap, at least for now.

They sell me a product, then support it. As opposed to selling me a subscription and pimping me to advertisers. Apple’s support periods are short amd their hardware expensive, but you do get something for your money.

Ethical alternatives? Probably some species of Linux. I use pop-os with its new wayland-based desktop, still in beta. Practical alternatives? Gotta be macos, which is what I use for real work. Liquid glass sucks, but I haven’t seen it break anything.

Does this mean you’re now maintaining that library?
October 30, 2025 at 11:23 PM
I haven’t seen any of that personally, but it’s certainly possible I’m missing it. I would point out that different versions of Word have also had this problem, particularly between the Mac and Windows versions. Even Microsoft’s interoperability is questionable.
October 27, 2025 at 5:49 PM
I use that all the time in textmaker, interoperating with Word users, including novel length documents. They can read and write comments and track changes on my documents and I can read and write theirs. If that functionality is all that’s holding you back, you have more options than you think.

Roboslurry. Good word. I like it. 😀 Did you coin it?
