really respect lewis hamilton for taking care of his dog. i feel like a lot of celebrities treat animals as playthings or accessories. or they buy an expensive breed and treat it as a status symbol. but he seemingly cared about his dog like a member of his family.

The big surprises from the SF1 evening rehearsal:

🇳🇱 had much more of a big crowd reaction than expected, that crowd was LOUD 👀.

🇨🇭 staging is intimate, the way they do the tempo change is smart and inventive and will shine on the screen ✨ not sure about its televote chances, but it's stunning

What an incredible night in Euroclub

Gjon's Tears has the most beautiful voice, so moving and sweet.

Silvester Belt seemed to feel the love that he played Luktelk twice and got to see the good side of Eurovision after last year

Jerry Heil was amazing and also felt the love and support for Ukraine

Did this national final tier list after @escgabe.com's latest video. Armenia was so bad, the B/C tier was pretty fluid, and there you go.

This is surely winning Mello this year and I’m sure it’ll be staged amazingly but unless esc ends up being very weak (which to be fair, not much has stood out so far) I think it’s a top 5 finish rather than a win.

Juries will almost certainly eat this up though 👀

Magfest was a blast, so fun seeing friends again and plenty of partying to avoid the world for a lil bit. Now my body hurts and I would like to rest, please. Not too much crazy happening in Eurovision this week, right? 😅 Couple days to recover before having to wake up at 3:30am for tickets 😵‍💫

100 years ago today, Los Angeles invented jaywalking:

"On Sat, Jan. 24, 1925...disobedient pedestrians were suddenly "jaywalkers." It was not the first jaywalking law in the US, [but] it’s the one that worked, as far as drivers were concerned. And it is the ancestor of such laws nationwide."

This is out today on Steam and I can't recommend it highly enough. What a game! If you liked Return of the Obra Dinn, you'll love The Roottrees Are Dead.
Seven days into 2025 and I've already played what I suspect will be one of my favorite games of the year: The Roottrees Are Dead, a narrative logic deduction game (à la Obra Dinn) that has you searching for clues to unravel the dramatic story of a rich family store.steampowered.com/app/2754380/...
