Listen, if a sentence starts with "how", then it doesn't need the word "like" at the end. "What it looks like" makes sense, and "How it looks" makes sense. But "How it looks like" sounds weird and redundant.

Note to self: don't use the amount of salt you normally would for a whole turkey if you're only making the breast.
No one complained. My sister said it was fine with a bite of mashed potatoes or biscuit. And I managed not to mess up any of the other food. So, all in all, today was okay.

My sister and I volunteer at an organization called A Nutter Cat Rescue, and this evening we got some very sad news.
One of the cats who has been at the rescue for quite a while had to be euthanized today.
Tonight is going to be a sad night in our home and in the hearts of the other volunteers.
