Jess got this in-depth, critical piece out, within six hours of this complicated ruling - and as the only Trans+ person to be commisioned in the entire UK media to do so - did a better job in that short time than the rest of the media has done since

You, absolutely rock, and the media and law sectors are vastly better with your work challenging them to be and do better. Congrats Jess 👏

False balance is the concept that is also sometimes known as bothsidesism - a nonsense word, which should tell you everything you need to know already.

It sees journalists present issues as balanced between 'opposing viewpoints', even when one position is supported by an abundance of evidence

With climate change and climate denialism, it's become a widely adopted media policy not to give it airtime anymore - it’s become a BBC editorial policy, not to air them.

Overall, that change has led to us hearing it only sparingly nowadays, or only on broadcasters like Fox and GB News

There is overwhelming evidence of Climate Change, its effects, its reality and the harm it is doing to all of us and the world.

And so whatever people 'believe', we should present the abundance of evidence - and set out claims to the contrary are unproven and baseless www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

So how do you overcome it? Simple.

This is a problem that many media outlets and politicians have recently learned to overcome in another field: climate change. Let's explore the example.
