Finished Sarah Beth Durst's The Enchanted Greenhouse! A lovely return to this world, I was smitten with the various wonders of the greenhouse and the story of those left behind creating a unique family that blossoms beautifully.

The Family Crucible was a nice time trip back to the adolescent era of Family Systems Theory's development. It was lovely to see some systemic thinking in psychotherapy and to hear the adventure of this family.
(The bygone era of the pipe-smoking therapist sounds so charming.)

Fancy Donut has the right idea. Her snoring is my Saturday morning vibe.

I wish this page were earlier, though. There's nothing about his qualifications or his personal experience in the actual text, which lowers its authenticity. This page, in the text (instead of at the end), might have given me a more personal spirituality vibe like Power of Now. Maybe palatable?

Just finished The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. Sister and I are book clubbing it (her choice). Altogether, this is hard to take seriously - an under researched combination of ideas in the shape of the "manifest it and it'll happen". This is not a book for me. Not recommended.

Yesterday at the KPBS Book Festival, @charliejane.bsky.social signed my copy of her book! I treasure this so much. She's an inspiration, and her books vivify me!

The haul from KPBS Book Festival in San Diego today. It was a sweltering but wonderful bookish celebration. I'm excited for it to continue and grow year to year!

The Faggots & Their Friends Between Revolutions by Larry Mitchell is a beautiful message shot across time and space. It's poetry that will sit with me for a long time. May I be deserving of this book and its message.

Less by Andrew Sean Greer was so damn good. Gay comedic travelogue about a writer escaping so he doesn't have to see his old paramour get married, celebrating his 50th birthday and grappling with all of the above. Great writing and deserving of the Pulitzer it's earned.

Sky Daddy by Kate Folk was a transfixing read. I found myself unable to look away from the slow car crash of this woman's journey toward a plane crash that I found myself rooting for. A great book of 2025.

Started and finished it in same day. I love Murderbot's voice so much I had to pick up the first novellas. Both were so compelling and I'm hyped to read more.

Finished this spicy one earlier today. Enjoyed the combo of werewolf, buddy cop, and small town return. Watch out, this one is 5🌶️!
