Brown pasta is nice and I’m sorry I didn’t convert sooner, but I draw the line at brown rice too.

At this rate it’ll be quicker to list those who aren’t running.

Love this! Are those jelly beans for the rice?

Not a mention of sepia in the comments? The best colour, worth keeping a Lamy fountain pen for it!

I honestly don’t know, but current affairs do seem to be more widely discussed. Not just Irish politics, from further afield including the US.

This is the thing I find odd. I suppose Ireland is small enough that all politics is local but seems there is more chat about this kind of thing.

Hi David, following from Ireland in bewilderment. Can I ask if this is starting to dominate conversations on the ground there outside people who would be interested in politics generally?

Thanks! First time I’ve seen/heard of that

I’m very confused, was that originally like that or a modern intervention?

Very true. Most working/studying full time while managing training commitments and optimum fitness too.

This is so frustrating. We’re all aware of the issues keeping teen girls in sport, do they not realise the message it sends to the younger ones coming up to see how they’ll be treated if they stay on? Players’ opinions being completely disrespected by those who shouldn’t be given any say.

This could describe so much of the past 6 weeks.

This would have been considered the common translation 70 odd years ago in Cork anyway. I know someone who was relieved to be Abigail instead, iirc she had a first cousin Gobnait already which swung it.

Didn’t know about these, but I just used a printout, scissors and pritt stick earlier to do exactly this.

Oh god… I’ll take the interspersed unfinished buildings any day so!
January 27, 2025 at 9:08 PM
I get these for building sites. One visit was memorably set to Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time showing various holes in the ground with pipes and an occasional boot/high vis sleeve.

Yes, the day after the storm was great for solar power… but only if you had electricity to power the system!

Good to know, thanks!
