I mean we've seen how good representation by people of a community just showing up and being seen in media can change minds. It may be slow sometimes, painstakingly slow and there can be back sliding.. but it does happen.

I know. I wish it were easier. I know it doesn't help that some in the community hate others of the community and want to kick people out and there are tons of queer cis men who are just like "who cares. Hot is hot" mentality as well. There are also those trying to downplay this because they don't

a straight lens.. as being queer isn't an act. It is not a performance. Saying that it is IS harmful.
And having straight actors talk about how brave and amazing it is that they get notes from ACTUAL queer people scared to come out feels so gross and exploitative.
