Interested in #Genealogy and assorted other things ... I have been researching #FamilyHistory since the early 1990's and incorporating #DNA evidence since 2013. In 2024, I started working on a #OnePlaceStudy.
I posted it on 19 October 2025 (around the same time as the Kapiti course). First PO couldn't send anything to US at all and told me of the 2 in Wellington on a different system that could. I may have been fortunate to go to two PO's with knowledgeable helpful people!-?

I recently sent an MtDNA kit to USA from NZ. The first PO I went to couldn't send to US but told me which ones in Wellington can so I went to one of those. The person there advised me to send Economy. It cost me $4.70 and took 11 days to get there. She advised not to send Express.

It's always exciting to find something drawn or written in an ancestor's own hand, isn't it #GenHour (belated!)

I have only just caught up with this because I was on a plane on the way to Melbourne during #GenHour today. Yes, I agree with @projectkin.bsky.social, the page Projectkin.org/stories250 is certainly worth checking out #Stories250

And my words merged creating a useless link (do wish I could edit). Of course you all know I meant weare.xyz

Thanks, Barbara ... It's an honour to help you 'kick off' the #Stories250 series. Thanks for asking me!

I can see a family likeness in all of them, but I agree you definitely look more like your great gran than the others
