There is probably some kind of horrible Venn diagram involving the Punic Wars, Hannibal Lector, and the Donner Party. I can’t think of what’s in the middle though.

They are blacktail deer. They are a subspecies of mule deer, a bit smaller than their cousins. They are pretty fluffy this time of year. They are everywhere in town.

We are putting in some mini ones in town and people have been howling on facebook about the “woke roundabouts”. Honestly baffled. People are real mad about traffic safety?
