The real antagonist was the symptoms we made along the way.

Yeah that's really hard, just staring at the page all day itself can feel awful. You're definitely not alone in this. Stepping away sounds healthy here. Sometimes I try writing something completely unrelated, I'm constantly juggling my own risk of losing the habit

It's the overall habit, for my ADHD brain missing a day is dangerous 😅

Omg oh yeah that's todayyy

Same, this is how close I like to sit to the space heater

Ugh that's awful. Whether you end up applying for TANF I hope you get through soon.

If it's like WA's other services, I needed to call first thing when they opened and still waited around 45 minutes.

Have you seen the Minnesota general strike? We need that nationwide.

I expected most Dems to take the reactionary position, glad to be wrong

When ChatGPT got updated to be less sycophantic, people were upset.

This doesn't bode well.

Oooh this is interesting

Unless you're specifically trying to meet genre expectations, I don't think that's a flaw. Of course reading can help you write better, and absolutely do if you want to, but it's not required to tell a good story

This was a very useful prompt, because I haven't given much thought to it.

Doing some digging, The Windup Girl or Leviathan Wakes might be a better structural comp, but I haven't read either, so I'm sticking with Elantris for now 2/2

Yeah... I'd be terrified of dying

Wish I were anywhere close to finishing mine! It's speculative fiction set in a post-apocalyptic setting.

I'm aiming for trad pub but take a number of risks that might make it difficult for a debut

Get involved in mutual aid, and genuinely helping folk on an individual level, and you will see a whole new world opens up that was always right here.

I think this helps put into words why I feel exhausted the moment any pseudo-intellectual transphobe decides to challenge my existence.

Oh. Oh no

This is spectacle. The point is intimidation. As journalists they already know they're being monitored.
