My posts were not even about Kirk directly, but about America's apathy towards political violence, and the coddling of white male shooters and hate peddlers.

I was fired because I mentioned race: white men and violence-- that was my "gross misconduct."

This is half of the equation. The other half is that Carney's actions make perfect sense when you realize that he's basically an outside consultant. He's applying a set of generic (conservative) policies to a complex organization without consideration of the organization's specifics needs.

With a solid third of cyclists in Toronto's bikelanes people driving delivery, Doug Ford's attack on bikelanes is going to make food delivery worse, make the roads more dangerous and make the roads more chaotic as e-bikes and cars will be forced to share space.

Whenever I talk about incarcerated firefighters I point to: 1) pay disparity or total lack of pay ($0), 2) inadequate healthcare and mental health support for trauma 3) no policy's requiring programs to deliver on promises of job opportunity/lowered risk of recidivism or to even keep relevant data.
