This is just such an extraordinary, out of all normalcy event. The most powerful countries Europe dropped everything to basically stage an intervention. And we really don’t know what happened. I feel like none of the reporting has really told us anything.

I am almost done reading this amazing book, which has inspired such enthusiasms as “I should quit my job and work on bison policy!” I should write a paper about bison policy!” and “I need to go to Europe to see wild wisents!” Highly recommend, especially if you live in or are visiting Western U.S.

I have been mostly without internet for a few days, and currently have the chance to check a few things and nope, going back to no internet. Things are definitely getting worse. The world is still beautiful, though.

I’m at Kona airport and headed to Oahu after a few magical days on the Big Island. I am going to move to Hawaii someday, I just need to figure out how to make a living and pick an island. Oh, and convince my family. Currently Hawaii, Kauai and Oahu are tied. Here are some honu, my spirit animal.
