Have been living my best life in this weekend. Nice to see some murals that summed up some of the best nights of my 1990s student life in Birmingham.

Head full of toothache so having a gentle morning. One of the cats is making the most of my jaw-clutching, incapacitated, state. #Caturday

My Dad and I share our Wordle scores every day, and today he got his in SIX-SEVAAAN. He’s 76 and I hope he appreciates the irony.
In other news, he baked me a Christmas cake yesterday, and I’d better remember to bring my cake tin down to Suffolk next week.

I don’t think this is what they would have in mind - the complexity of the nearly the end of a half term coffee table.

And we’re back at the rugby!!! Got a couple of photos with Sharky. Unfortunately I look angry, or tapped.

Last day of the holidays for me, and a nice 40 mile bike ride in glorious weather! Excellent company, and a lovely slice of lemon meringue at the café. Not too shabby 💕

Put the tent on the pannier rack and set out into the Cheshire countryside. Most impressed that the tent didn’t fall off the rack during the journey!

Our teeny tiny tabby has bullied the brute, Tuxie, out of his cat bed. So we’ve bought yet another (small dog) cat bed. So far so good for this 5.5kg boy who, in most parts, is a lover, not a fighter.
Now to keep the teeny tiny one out of it.

Gardening, garden centre, more gardening. Looking better, but still plenty to do. Have repurposed a tub for a lavender though

Spending time with my parents down in Suffolk at Greene King - absolutely superb brewery tour with great views from the brewery roof, and a very knowledgable guide.

Found this when I was tidying up my classroom yesterday. Pretty accurate, apart from its TdF, rather than the rugby.

First thought - change the language and then link it to the science. Rough notes…
I’m sure other people already do this, but I’ll blog at some point, in case it helps somebody else with it.

Have had a cracking pedal this morning, and the café stop yielded some excellent lemon drizzle cake.

Epic!

Better with a pleasant view 🏞️

Enjoying a very empty train carriage to spread out! No cats have accompanied me so I’m free to mark in peace ☺️

My cats clearly have views about marking on a Friday evening 🙄

Have been for a lovely, albeit slightly damp, pedal this evening. The best bit was cycling down a single track to see a hare racing down the road towards me. It was all ears and legs and the most wonderful sight! I wish I’d been able to capture a photo of it. Here’s one of me instead. #EduCyclist

It’s Manchester Jazz Festival!!! Lovely weather and free jazz around HOME MCR. What’s not to like?

End of the match at #SALvBRI. One stag do, lots of security. They brought the tunes, but I’ve got no idea what they were.

Love having a cheeky chippy tea. And so does the cat!
