Hello everyone! It’s probably time for a quick introduction.
My favourite things on BlueSky are #chatbiology, #chatchemistry, and #chatphysics. I’m hoping that more immigration to BlueSky will give the evening chats a shot in the arm, as I don’t always have much to contribute depending on the topic.

I don’t understand the disparity of entry requirements to study A Levels compared with T levels.
A level chemistry - 6 good passes at GCSE, including 2 at grade 6.
T level in laboratory sciences - 5 GCSEs grade 4 and above including maths, English & science.

Train to Birmingham from Manchester are cancelled. So, having been rerouted, I am now standing on a platform in Sheffield. There’s a station announcer at Sheffield who is taking absolutely no BS from anyone this evening. I am convinced she must have taught my Year 10 class in a previous life 🤣

My NHS records are now all on MyMFT which seems to be part of My Chart. Really not sure how I feel about all of this data being in the hands of a developer, both from the data side of things, and also the turning into my (fabulously technophobic) mother side of things 😬

For those of us who are of a certain age, you might find the lyrics to Snooker Loopy by Chas and Dave a help for one of the questions.
Enjoyed this post and would also add that having really felt as though I was stagnating a couple of years ago, it led to significant dissatisfaction. A new context made all the difference.

Day 38 Physics & Physical Sci - Did @cossettej.bsky.social newton block lab. Lots of setup so did it with both classes. My old set of blocks were beat up and missing pieces so adapted my set of a million go cars to do the same thing. Great lab to do each year! #iteachphysics #teach180
