I’m obstinate enough to occasionally go through and turn off all the on buttons. Mostly, I just close the tab because life’s too short for such a bother.

A very reasonable point of view today. I’m thinking the same.

At the moment, I’m hoping that it isn’t icy or snowy that weekend - and it would be lovely if there were lots of people - and sales :-)

Why do they have to mess around and make things worse?!
My own small experiments with AI so far lead me to distrust it with anything serious.
Also, anything using English language is so skewed to US English even when set on UK English, it’s frustrating.
