I'm trying to wean off book buying on Amazon. For Kim Watt, for example (UK author) her books it appears are not available here in hardcover or paperback but I can buy the e-books directly via her website. I read book samples on Amazon, then buy elsewhere if I like it.

My pleasure. I've got most of your books as Kindle fodder, but I did the Digger kickstarter for the hardcover (wonderful volume), and since Tidal Pages started up last fall I've been blowing holes in my budget browsing and buying there. www.tidalpagesipswich.com

Yes, I assumed so, but felt like being a bit of a smartass.

By the way, a lovely little indie bookstore recently opened in my town, and I'm making it a point to order all your books in hardcover from her. Somehow wound up with two copies of Hemlock &Silver, so gave one to my sister.

Well, yeh, wind that ruffles one's feathers is always bullshit, but I'm glad they're otherwise happily settled in. I trust the indigenous bugs are to their taste?

How are the chickens doing in their new home?

I have eaten tripe, fixed Italian style, from a cow, and can confirm that it is technically edible.

Well, actually, if it's prepared well, it's not bad. I'd rather have liver and onions, though.

My golly, what a perfect name for this!

Fascinating! Why does its trailing edge thin out and disappear?
November 14, 2025 at 12:52 AM
Thank you for this. I needed it.

It seems like a good idea at the time?

Would it count if I posted all typing gibberish from my cat invading my laptop?

The Burgess Shale is always more interesting to talk about.

'Twas ever thus. The media have their template, and by ghod they'll fold, spindle, and mutilate every story to fit.

Now, then, why must I and all your other devotees wait so long for Daggerbound to come out???
