I know there’s a lot going on with *gestures to everything* but as of today, October 1st:

🚩Alberta officially has the LOWEST minimum wage in Canada

🚩AISH recipients in social housing will pay hundreds more in rent

Cruel UCP choices are making life more expensive.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

There are 35+ kids in my child's Biology 20 class. They
are sitting 3 kids at each table meant for 2. When
writing tests they use dividers between students to
reduce copying off of each other but there aren't
enough dividers. It's a small issue but if Danni can
afford $30/kid/day she could probably fork over a few
dollars for teachers & classroom supplies.

Nearly 90% of Alberta’s teachers have rejected the deal offered.

It didn’t need to be this way, but the UCP have refused to listen. And refused to act.

Alberta students remain the lowest funded across Canada. They deserve so much better.

Just taking it all in as a few hundred kids from Victoria School rallied in support of trans rights this morning.

Someone said to me that these kids are the leaders of tomorrow. And I said no.

They’re the leaders of today and they’re stepping up where our so-called leaders won’t.

Across Canada, provinces are raising minimum wages this October to help workers.

In Alberta, the UCP refuses to act. Minimum wage has been frozen at $15 since 2018, the lowest in the country.

Families are struggling with rising rent and groceries while the government does nothing.

Unacceptable!
