Good morning to you G...
I just found this tiny beautiful gem blue beetle but unsure what it is... and WOW... it can jump a very long way. About 4 inches 😃

I found this tiny jet black one today with white dots and unsure what it is.
You can see the tip of my little finger behind him for size...
Can you enlighten me please 😍

@georgemcgavin.bsky.social Good morning G. I take great care of the live mealworms I keep to feed my garden birds and notice that some of the material I give them, they've started pulling fluffy bits off and now seem to be putting it in certain places. Are they doing this for warm bedding?

I've been trying to get a good vid of this amazing sheet web, with my hand to show you it's size... not sure if the owner is still resident in my greenhouse, which I really should clean out but there's so many spiders calling it home, I don't have the heart...

Male Greater Spotted Woodpecker who had managed to prize out of the feeder a chunk of suet block and was very happily pecking at it until he spotted me at the window and just flew away with the remaining chunk in it's beak 😆
I did wonder why the suet blocks were going so fast 😘 @rspb.bsky.social

I'm still trying to find out what this moth is and I can find lots with a red bald patch but not with black spots on the edge of its wings.
Any ideas please? 😄

This isn't a great pic but any ideas what it could be? It's very pale with hardly any markings.

I just sit by my pond and wait for the 3 Goldcrests to pop down for food and a bath. I've seen 3 but there may be more.

I presume they have a cue from the weather, as they seem to do this en masse ?

Good morning G @georgemcgavin.bsky.social
I've been trying to get a pic of these tiny spiders for years but their 50p coin size webs seem to vanish after a day and their owners are small and shy. There's dozens of them, then they vanish overnight. Any idea what they are?

Can you ID this beauty for me please. Jan Kitty from The Forest of Dean 😍

Hey there G... this is wet kitchen paper next to this spider, and it looks like she is gathering thread togrther and wetting it. I know spiders get dehydrated, so could she be making a type of sponge to gather water? @georgemcgavin.bsky.social

I found this beautiful tiny fella... only about 3mm and I only spotted him because of his stunning neon purple wings in the sunshine 🌞
Even a tiny fly can me smile, so I wanted to pass it on. 😘
Don't know what it is though 🤪

@rspb.bsky.social I bought my hubby a Fathers day card from the garden birds - as you do 😘 and one of my Robins wanted to make it even more realistic 😍

My Weeping Willow tree was covered in aphids, so being chemical-free in my wildlife garden I waited...
A few days later it was covered with Ladybird larvae who munched their way through tons of them, then sat there and pupated into adults, who took over the next shift 😍

Hi George, hope you're keeping well.
Can you tell me if these are Horse Fly Eggs please?
Unsure what to do with them 🤪

Hi @allbugsgotokevin.bsky.social Long-time, no-post, sorry. Any-hoo... I haven't seen a spider incorporating its funnel-type web around the curve of a leaf, unless it curved the leaf itself?
It's an amazing structure :-)

I thought the first little fella was small but then I found dozens of even smaller ones which I obviously found a safe home for...

Hi there @georgemcgavin.bsky.social

I wanted to share the vids I took of some tiny baby Centipedes when I had to move some bags in the garden a few months ago... see vid 2
