2025 was another big year for EU trade.

Forging new partnerships that strengthen our economy.

And bring certainty in uncertain times.

We secure the interests of 🇪🇺 industry, farmers and consumers while delivering real benefits for our partners.

That’s Europe’s way of doing business.

Speaking from the bottom of my heart, my wish for 2026 is peace. A just and lasting peace for Ukraine.

For nearly four years, the Ukrainian people have shown extraordinary courage under the fire of an unprovoked war.

We wish them and all people across the world peace, well-deserved peace, in 2026.

Europe and European leaders deserve much praise. They adapted to unfavourable conditions with resolve and creativeness, from defence to support for Ukraine to free trade agenda. Contrary to its enemies’ propaganda, Europe is still standing.
2025 was a very tough year in world affairs. Brutal wars in Gaza and Ukraine and the forgotten ones like in Sudan and Burma. But a lot of nations and leaders have tried hard to bring just peace closer. This gives us hope for the coming year.

And covering Ukraine’s financial needs for 2026-27 is essential for that.

Two proposals are on the table.

We agreed that we will find a solution today.
