This is only slightly relevant but a lil while ago I was seeing an audio on YouTube Shorts that was like "if you use this audio you will get 100 subscribers" and like. You know I'm a real person right. It's such a wild disconnect watching people treat viewers as an unknowable force of nature
When I see people talk about Beating The Algorithm to get Views I always have this slight taste of vomit in my mouth at how the implied audience here are essentially treated as mindless consumers of slop who will take what they're given as long as you get them to watch YOUR thing
