Seahawks, dog.
I didn't understand letting Sainz walk in the moment, I didn't understand him not being a Red Bull Driver when Ferrari let him go.

One of the best drivers in the field.

So... the NFC runs through the West this year?

AFC X-2 teams: we lost to the 1 win dolphins and beat the falcons in OT.

NFC X-2 Teams: 59-14 at half-time.

Watching this defense chase not just the win, but perfection, is awesome.

Genuinely amazing how bad the Hulu/Disney+/ESPN experience is, especially relative to Youtube TV.

Is it a hot take to think the most likely outcome of the Sauce trade is Chris Ballard getting fired?

Too many outcomes where this ends in winning the division, losing by a touchdown to the Chiefs in the Wild Card round, and regressing in year 2 while being out of options at Quarterback.

Felt like this was going to happen since Kubiak got hired. Saints couldn't afford to pay him, Seattle could use WR depth.

I was surprised it didn't happen before the season.
Trade! The Saints are sending WR Rashid Shaheed to the Seahawks, sources tell me and @rapsheet.bsky.social

I didn't understand it at the time, but still boggles me that this team's O/U was 7.5, especially considering they play the AFCS and NFCS.

Came for the nash equilibrium of run/pass balance, stayed for the Seahawks emotional damage: m.youtube.com/watch?v=pPXZ...

Man I...like this draft? Real draft capital on IOL, an athletic freak you have the coaching talent to use, then a shot at a high-upside QB you've got time to coach? Field stretchers at TE and WR? Count me in.

Is it a hot take that 2024 Geno was better than 2021 Russ, with a better future outlook, but got traded for much less (and a smaller contract)?

Pete's first major decision post-John Schneider was to bet against John's decision making, straight up.

Because the raiders know they're in the business of keeping good players.
When trade talks started between the Seahawks and Raiders, Seattle offered Geno Smith and D.K. Metcalf for Maxx Crosby. The Raiders said Crosby is not available, via Albert Breer.

Report: Seahawks wanted Maxx Crosby, Raiders said he's not available
It's been a busy week for the Seahawks, and the Raiders.

On the one hand, the raiders are an obvious choice: need a QB, looking to jump-start their rebuild, familiarity with the coaching staff, etc.

On the other hand Pete Carroll just bet John Schneider that he can evaluate Geno better than him, and paid him a 3rd round pick to do it.
March 8, 2025 at 2:18 AM
The other thing is you're basically advertising you're in the Darnold sweepstakes, and there are other QB needt teams in a bad QB draft class. So now you have no leverage there.

Pete, of course, is short John's decision making which is saying something.
Paraphrasing from what I've heard/seen:

Seattle offered Geno $35m per year, significantly below his market value. Geno refused, and did not counteroffer. Seattle then immediately found trade suitors. Geno is in line to receive a contract valued at nearly $45m per year from Las Vegas.

So they're blowing it up? Mike and Js must think this roster isn't as close as they publicly profess.
March 8, 2025 at 1:03 AM
If the Seahawks draft him, I just want him to wear 33 and I want to yell "bring me the head of Trey McBride".

1. Agree with Greg, there's a big polling miss here, this election is not particularly close. I think she outdoes Biden 2020.

2. There's a Senate and/or EC college surprise in TX or FL. Taking my shot on Cruz sucking and the abortion amendment on FL's ballot absolutely turning out the vote.
1️⃣ Harris wins 300+ EVs

2️⃣ North Carolina flips

Bonus, here's my electoral map: www.270towin.com/maps/E7Yzg
1) it's not particularly close, with her winning by 5-6 points

2) Her win includes one of NC/GA (or both)
