I’d give it 5 minutes if I were you
Funny how they're the two who during their tenure were seen as weak second-choices, are now remembered far more positively than during their reign. Major's legacy on sports for example was barely discussed at the time but was tramsformative.

Too closely associated with the Starmer mistakes. I can see Burnham being popular purely because he has no dirt on his hands.

He was polite about it

That's weird, my AI keeps removing the P for me. Is just A now.

I feel sorry for the eager young performers who are naively thinking this is their big break. It's been tried countless times and it hasn't worked. It doesn't even work that well in America. I hope I'm wrong, I truly do but this is going to stink the place out isn't it?

Ah yes, a sensible move toward a country where half the population remember their fascist government. No chance that won't blow back in his face...

Well there's the answer to "How did Epstein make his money?". Extraordinary really. There are no countries, there are only billionaires.

She was fumbling around like only the guilty can. Next time just let the silence and spluttering linger - no need to chip in with anything. She looked TERRIBLE there, you skewered her completely.

It's possible. If a very distant planet has a civilisation that has built a big mirror and pointed it toward where earth was 300 million years ago, at such an angle that the reflection reaches you in 2026, then all you need is a technologically infeasible telescope. Simple.

Stealing this

Potentially yes. Either through gravitational lensing or if the universe is not flat

Absolutely adore the image alongside the headline. Very nice work.

It's this generations version of 'would you rather?'. I've been thinking about what my price would be to sit through that and I think it's around £3,000 (provided they picked me up and drove me back home). What's your Melania price?

On a positive note though, people in the West are learning a lot more. Russia's antics in Ukraine led to a million historic examples being shared and we learned of you and your neighbours history through osmosis. That triggered curiosity and lots of wikepedia!

That just underlines the point! It's a weirdly written article that serves only to confuse.

Truth be told, nobody knows much about Estonia due to no news coming out of there to the West for 50 years. Most people can't even name 5 Russian cities, let alone name each occupied territory, let alone know the culture of them. It was our media and our schools that let us down badly.

Took me three reads to even work out who 'won' and who was challenging what. In the end nobody won and they just said it's a matter for a different court. So strangely written...

Given the huge numbers of FSB plants in Ukraine, you can hardly expect them to just accept every Russian applicant at their word. This is an inconvenience for Russians, an existential struggle for Ukrainians.

I've always blamed the closing ceremony of the London Olympics. When the flame was put out all happiness and joy was extinguished.

The optics of fascist murders are usually pretty poor tbh

I think it's because we aren't opposed to government policy. With Gaza, the response from the government was infuriating and morally abhorrent. With Iran, we kinda agree with the government so protesting will do nothing. Who would we protest? The Iranian Embassy? A pointless exercise.
