You would think that, in a world where we can order practically anything online, having a pleasing physical space would be an advantage, but apparently "Let's make our product less appealing, that will help profits!" is galaxy-brain-level thinking.

And yes, I know these are not the greatest problems plaguing society right now, but I'm generally bad at presenting my thoughts on those sorts of things, so I'm sticking with what I'm best at: being cantankerous.

Plus, isn't it nice to be able to gripe about something trivial for a change?

I know takeout is more popular, especially since the pandemic, but I like getting out of the house and sitting somewhere else for a little while. Too many places seem to be against that these days and make me not want to visit.

That photo is from a Wendy's, and the Starbucks near my home did the same thing a couple years ago, replacing its padded furniture. Barnes & Noble took out its seating entirely.

Whenever someone posts some "Here were the greatest games from [Year]" list, my nonconformist ass usually has played like 3 out of 50 of them.

I played 5 of these 10, finishing all of them except GTA III.
