I was asked a couple of times today if it annoys me when my birthday falls on #thanksgiving and in truth not really. As an adult I just didn’t really care and when I was a kid it was cool having a birthday near (or on) a big family holiday because I got special attention.

We saw The Decemberists last night play with @oregonsymphony.bsky.social - what a great show! So cool to see a rock band backed up by our magnificent orchestra! And I’m always astounded - given how dark their songs are - just how flat-out hilarious Colin Meloy is!
