heli would probably use ore on purpose. i think even if she had jpn voice lines, her foreignness & brashness (& butchness!) would be best conveyed like that

Maybe a very specific #wolqotd but:

As the player character, our WoLs/OCs don't have voiced lines. But also, FFXIV is a Japanese game.

So with that: If your character had voiced lines in the game, what pronouns in Japanese would they use to refer to themselves? Watashi, ore, boku, something else?

Never forget that Norman Rockwell, debatably the most famous American artist to ever put brush to canvas, was not afraid to show the ugliness along with the good. Having his work/reputation sanitized and trimmed into marketable nostalgia is about American as it gets.

I have cooked so much lore for Viera, whom I view very much like Tolkiens elves!! I’ve created variations, cities (Lightwood is their biggest), expanded religion to the Green and had an absolute blast doing it! I took inspiration from ff12 as the foundational core and then ran with it ❤️💕

Do not let these milquetoast white men content creators convince you that we are doomed. They are selling fear and profiting off of it.

His health is failing. The cult has lost its momentum. The Epstein victims are actively making their case and trials will be happening, worldwide. The GOP is fighting amongst themselves about everything. Dems are winning their elections at federal and state levels. The military is being sent to cities to then stand around and get mocked. Judges have ruled it's illegal to be sent to blue cities in the first place. Alligator Alcatraz got shut down. They're desperate to hire people for ICE because people keep quitting. Protests are happening every week, everywhere.

We are in a very scary and very chaotic time. Project 2025 is terrifying. People are being emboldened to be violent, and people are being traumatized and harmed. The country has been divided and damaged, but not beyond repair and rebuild. We will get through this, we can't just give up and comply in advance. Don't let the bastards get you down.
