I ended today's workout with 2 sets of squat triples at 125kg. And I thought "this is a decent weight." And now I'm watching Karlos Nasar do a triple at 225kg.

People have forgotten how to read the text for the text, how to engage the text in a really boring, brass-tacks way. Let us come back to the page. Let us humble ourselves and see with naïve eyes the thing for the thing. And let’s leave our really gorgeous in-depth reading that we’ve been trained so elegantly to do by English departments and our various institutions, and let us encounter it with our own human eyeballs. What’s happening at a literal level? I think there’s still a lot to be gained and a lot to be learned from a literal interpretation. This is true also of painting.
