OK, almost time to brave the snow storm and drive home from work. I think we got at most a 1/2 inch here. And it will be melted all away by tomorrow. Still, I am getting in my pj's and under a blanket when I get home.

Oh, and I had a bobcat run across the road in front of me on my drive in. Here is a photo of one, not the one who was jaywalking. A beautiful animal, but I would never want to be on the bad side of a big murder kitty like this.

So, today is our first snow storm of the season. The schools are closed and many people called out from work. I am here, since it is only supposed to be 1-3" of snow. Plus I have lived in Buffalo and Maine and we can handle snow.

On this day when little gets done in the office, and I am the only one here, AGAIN, I spent the last half hour taking apart and cleaning my keyboard. At least I feel like I did something.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the US. I made some chocolate peanut butter bars to bring for a desert. Tonight/tomorrow we will make creamed onions, and green beans with bacon as two side dishes. Then off to the in-laws to hang out for the day. I plan on eating all the calories.

When I was young we would go to NJ to spend Thanksgiving with my father's side of the family. Not a bad time, but it was always kind of gross coming back and getting to New England and seeing all the trucks with their deers tied to them from the first day of hunting season.

For the next few days I will be counting how many cars have their Christmas tree on it. I have not spotted any yet, but I swear some people would make a person leave their own Thanksgiving celebration so they could go get their tree up.

So Cheeto and the MAGA'diots are calling for charges of treason and execution for any current or former military member who would speak out against unlawful orders. Um, can they also include execution of people who lied 3 times about bone spurs to get out of serving during a war?

I would like to smoke a pipe. I remember the smell of my grandfather smoking his pipe. I know it is not good for me, but I miss that smell. Not cigarettes, but that pipe tobacco that had a beautiful scent. Smoking a pipe and reading books on a winter's day would be wonderful.

Tomorrow taking the wife to go see a 90's cover band at a great local location. They are going to do acoustic covers of female led bands (Garbage, Hole, Alanis M, etc.) and are bringing in a guest singer. Place also has a great beer selection.

God, my Bills sucked last night. I predict a return to "rebuilding seasons" in the future. My wife gloats how great the Pats are doing. Well at least we have soccer to watch
