We need a better taxonomy/semiotic system - the old words still work, but then it slips into a historical semantics debate

It’s time to create the contemporary, real, direct words and relationships not fall into the trap of yore linguistics

Sure i wanted my children to have good nutrition. And, there is a balance of practical reality. Should sodas be excluded purchases? Probably. But, the narrow dictates can be impractical and the judgement is gross.

Agree. I was once on food stamps (back in the day when it was a coupon-like book). Single mom, 3 kids, full time work, full time course load

One time a woman behind me in line at the store noticed that I was buying bread and made a comment that people like me should have to make their own food

Police have broken rules in the past. I had an incident in my family where a police officer drug this person out of the car window. It was violent and wrong. But, he is alive and there was a court to adjudicate the matter

Now not only is this raw aggression, but there is no investigation. No court

In Colorado on the front range - they don’t always sell out to big ag, they sell out to land developers

And agree. It doesn’t start and end there - but change has to start somewhere

It don’t think it’s rural per se (I’m from a rural state and work in rural areas). Many small farmers and ranchers (those that still exist) are also against big ag biz

Some have had to sell out for family survival due to consolidation and the non-competition created

Thats not news. Advocacy matters for everyone and lobbyists are part of that

But Citizens United didn’t tilt the playing field it demolished it. By equating unlimited corporate spending with speech = loudest voices are the ones with the deepest pockets, effectively drowning out the electorate

It’s the ultra rich vs the middle class. The weak minded vs the independents and critical thinkers. The gamers vs the IRLs. The NPCs who need a badge and a gun to feel like someone.

I’ve heard polis wants to run for President or another major federal office. If he does this, I hope we all make sure that never happens

I’m sure he thinks he’s being practical and that would be true. Maybe the MAGA blackmail and coercion will stop. But the blackmail and coercion is the point

They are doing things like this in Colorado too. A blue state who won’t release Tina Peters. Mob-economics
