Oh boy

Second playthrough improved my opinion on the game however. Lots of cool stuff that I missed the first time around. (I missed out on Mohg, one of my favorite fights in the game!) I got a much better ending as well with the "Age of the Stars".

and environments (particularly the caves and underground dungeons). I still greatly enjoyed my time with it overall, but playing Dark Souls III afterwards and thinking that was a superior experience, Elden Ring kind of became an afterthought to me.

In preparation for Shadow of the Erdtree, I've completed my second playthrough of Elden Ring. My first playthrough was a rollercoaster of thoughts and opinions. First half or so I was amazed, later half was the opposite and didn't enjoy the repetitiveness of bosses.

Unfortunate and sad news today with the passing of Yoshitaka Murayama, the creator of the Suikoden series + upcoming Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes game.

He and his fellow peers and developers created two of my favorite video games of all time, Suikoden 1 and 2. R.I.P Murayama-san. <3

Really enjoyed and loved my time with Octopath Traveler II. So much so, that I got all achievements which I rarely do for a game because achievement hunting is silly imo, but this was the rare exception.

I think Octo 1 is a very good game that gets shat on for silly reasons (imo) but one thing 2 does that's so much better in comparison to 1 is its finale and that it has an epilogue that concludes everyone's story in such a satisfying way. Nothing grandiose but it's perfect.

Octopath Traveler II - Completed

A wonderful sequel. Thy really went all out to improve just about everything they can in comparison to the original game. Very similar to the overall improvement of Suikoden 1 to Suikoden II. Hopefully they'll follow it up with Octopath III or something new one day.

Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes is coming out soon. I still need to check out Uprising and get more familiar with the characters and world.

I'm a huge Suikoden fan, so Eiyuden takes precedent for nearly anything gaming wise. Hopefully it'll deliver as far as quality goes.

I need to figure out what big game to check out next after wrapping up Octopath Traveler 2.

I have some Steam Next Fest demos I want to check out first, but after that... I think I wanna check out 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.
